Op vrijdag 6 november 2026 organiseren de VVBAD en het Koninklijke Nederlandse Vereniging van Informatieprofessionals (KNVI) samen het congres Information Management in the Low Countries (IMLoCo), deze keer voor het eerst in Nederland. IMLoCo is hét event voor informatieprofessionals die graag meer willen weten over de informatie- en documentstromen door organisaties, het belang van verantwoord gebruik van data en de rol van ondersteunende technologie. Informatieprofessionals in profit, non-profit en overheid zijn welkom, het programma zorgt voor een rijk aanbod voor iedereen. Kennis opdoen en kennismaken met elkaar en veel ruimte voor gesprek en ontmoetingen: dat is waar IMLoCo 2026 voor staat. 

Het thema dit jaar is Information Sovereignty and Ethics: Taking Back Control in the Age of AI and BigTech.

In 2025 werd het congres voor het eerst georganiseerd. We hebben begin 2026 de handen ineen geslagen om dit congres samen te organiseren voor informatieprofessionals uit België én Nederland. Zet de datum alvast in je agenda, want IMLoCo 2026 zal officieel doorgaan in KINO Rotterdam (Gouvernestraat 129-133, 3014 PM Rotterdam, Nederland)! On Friday 6 November 2026 VVBAD and KNVI will jointly organise the second edition of the conference Information Management in the Low Countries (IMLoCo), this time for the first time in the Netherlands. IMLoCo is the event for information professionals who want to explore information and document flows within organisations, the importance of responsible data use and the role of supporting technologies. Information professionals in the profit, non-profit and governmental sectors are welcome, the program offers a wide range for everyone. Gaining knowledge, getting to know one another, and plenty of opportunity for conversation and networking: that is what IMLoCo 2026 is all about. 

The theme this year is Information Sovereignty and Ethics: Taking Back Control in the Age of AI and BigTech.

The first edition of the conference was held in 2025. At the beginning of 2026 we decided to join forces to organise this conference together for information professionals in Belgium and the Netherlands.
